Our premium blue mussels are rope-cultured and come from Prince Edward Island, home to the most productive mussel grounds in the world. The northern location and colder waters means that these mussels are available year-round, even during warm months when most mussel beds are spawning. They are suspended on ropes above the muddy sea floor, so they arrive clean and ready to cook. With dense, full meats and a pronounced sweetness, these mussels are perfect for steaming, sautéing and baking.
