Thanksgiving may not be over yet, but we wanted to give you a head’s up on your next smorgasbord–the 2012 Turkey Leg Ball is coming up! This annual food and drink extravaganza is collaborating with Austin restaurant Foreign & Domestic to create an “Xmas from Texas” experience, complete with a raw bar featuring oysters from Element Seafood. We’re proud to sponsor the event with our premium Kumamoto and Shigoku oysters from WA, and we’re even more excited to see what the fine chefs from Foreign & Domestic can do with them! Here’s what’s in store for the raw bar (menu subject to change):
- Shigoku oysters on the half shell with green apple and yuzu mignonette
- Bloody Mary Kumamoto oyster shots with vodka vapor, tomato syrup, celery ice and horseradish jelly
- Kumamoto oysters on housemade saltine with date puree, hot sauce, romaine and chive blossoms
- The Texan: Grilled Shigoku oyster with BBQ sauce, bacon and pecan crumble
